Anti-Roll Bar
A hollow roll bar and spherical joints greatly increases roll stiffness for a very small weight penalty. Spherical drop links allow for corner weight optimisation and mounts are also included. These attach both to standard Lotus and Pilbeam's own wishbones.

Steering Arm/Bumpsteer
The new steering arm kit was developed because we found that the standard car tends to suffer from considerable bumpsteer. By utilising our own steering arms we can adjust, optimise or eradicate it.

Stage 1 - Dampers and Springs
Koni adjustable dampers (type 3011) and springs are available. The roll bar and spring rates have been optimised during a lot of track testing to give very good traction, grip and ride.

Stage 2 - Dampers and Springs
A far lower weight than stage 1 is achieved as the damper is made from aluminium and bump and rebound adjustment can now be made while completely connected to the car. This is a Koni 2812, similar to those we fit to our touring cars, Le Mans sportscars and single seaters.

Suspension Bushes
The new suspension bushes fit straight into the standard wishbones as a direct replacement for the original items. They are about 60% stiffer, and this reduces unwanted wishbone flexibility by a corresponding amount, allowing the geometry to work as it should do. Racers may prefer to move on to the full wishbone replacement below.

Wishbone Replacement
When really pushing hard on a race track, with sticky tyres, spherical bearings out perform the rubber suspension bushes, which still have some compliance. The bearings are of the same quality used in our LMP Sportscars and Hillclimbers. Hand fabricated wishbones result in a far higher quality which is significantly lighter and stronger than the originals. The toe link has also been re-designed, stopping the common Lotus rear failures.
To allow fitment of these to the uprights we supply new bearing plates and spigots to locate in the spherical joints. Thus you do not keep the taper joints that are fitted in the standard cars’ upright. The geometry, is the same as Stage 1 and the recommended spring and damper rates remain unchanged.
