Le Mans Endurance Series, American Le Mans Series and Le Mans 24 Hours with Pilbeam Racing

The Pilbeam MP93 was a brand new design introduced in 2005 for the Le Mans LMP2 regulations and eligible to compete in the 24 Hours itself as well as the Le Mans Endurance Series (LMES) and the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) events. Not just an evolution of its successful predecessors, but experience gained with the MP84 and MP91 (the latter an evolution of the former) was invaluable.

MP93-01 made its début at the 2005 Le Mans testing weekend, with its first race start at the 24 Hours. Pierre Bruneau's PiR Compétition then raced the car successfully in the remaining LMES events that season and a further two seasons after that, including two more appearances at Le Mans.

The car switched to 3.4 litre Judd V8 power from 2006 onwards and the impressive string of results that year prompted Embassy Racing to begin their bid for Le Mans glory with an MP93 in 2007.
