Lotus Quick Rack Pilbeam Racing Designs are now offering a quick rack for the Lotus Chassis. The steering ratio is increased so less lock is required during racing. The responsiveness of the steering is therefore increased. The quick rack will fit all Lotus Elise Chassis (Series 1/Series 2/Exige/211). The rack is a simple replacement for the standard rack and requires no modification to the suspension or steering. The car’s previous fastest lap was broken by a second, through the day’s testing. This was way under Snetterton’s VdeV lap record and is especially impressive as this was the driver’s first appearance in the MP98. The gain, set in cool conditions, justifies the extensive winter testing carried out by Pilbeam.
