Pilbeam's Check and Setup In recent weeks many Pilbeam’s have been returning from the steep Hillclimbs to the flat fens of Lincolnshire. Many competitors have been bringing their cars back to their birth place for the Pilbeam Setup and check service. These have ranged from an early MP43 to the latest MP97. Pilbeam have kept all drawings and maintain good stock levels, allowing us to support the older cars. Bringing your Pilbeam back to our workshop allows us to check the full setup with Pilbeam’s purpose built instrumentation. We check all aspects of the setup including toe, camber, bump steer and corner weights. We keep a record of all car setups as they leave the factory, so we can compare to the original setup and advise on updates. Springs and dampers can be refined to match the cars current racing arena. Pilbeam carry out a full chassis inspection including the gearbox and differential. During the setup a full suspension health check is carried out. Pilbeam has an on going development program, from which comes improvements such as the third spring and front and rear carbon wings. Many of these can be fitted the older chassis.
